I'm unable to lie, yonder batman cries. If he say true he stands, sits or flies.

Brevity in the most profound write in amazing and, thus, it is a well deserved classic poem of the Day.

Just two lines portray a picture, that's why it's a poem.

Just two lines, but they depict realities of life. O to say so much with such a few words!

If the beggar is unable to stand or walk, he has to lie. On the other hand, if he says what he expresses is true, it is a lie. Poet seems to tell us a story about a beggar, which seems dubious, I feel. What ever it may be, poem is a brilliant expression of a poetic heart.

The negativism of life makes the human being to do such begging like jobs to find out a living and here the poet says only few lines and though this is good.

Even in today's society, you can't be sure if the lame beggar is telling the truth... so many people want to take advantage.. awesome poem :)

The poet gives out a clear message about a beggar, who is lame but is wont to begging.......... his tears might be just a cover for sympathy.
