A Lady With A Stick Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

A Lady With A Stick

A lady With A Stick
An old lady with strong stick
Waiting to hit school boys
Passing through her garden
Trees loaded with delicious fruits.
When mischievous boys noticed
Owner of garden with stick.
They diverted the way to school
Passing through alternative road.
Inhibiting flavour of tongue
Forgetting the taste of fruits
They had enjoyed a couple of times.
Lady watched more than a week
Got tired to watch more
Those who teased her, throwing stone
At trees loaded with fruits.
In course of time, ripened fruits
Fell at ground to go rotten
Old lady so alone in remote site
Was not able to sell those in market.
Now, she realised the naked truth
Ownership over possession of any thing
Does carry no meaning
When there is none to care it.
Excess of anything that you have
Share them with others with joy
Be merciful, let others too, enjoy taste of it.
