A kiss from your mother
while you are asleep.

This is a powerful poem with strong emotions at play. Great write.
A kiss on the lips Or a kiss on the neck A kiss from someone you're happy you met. A kiss of lost innocence. you are comparing and contrasting the kiss of innocence and the loss of innocence. yes these are human experiences. we go through it. this is the path of life. it makes mature. thank you for this thoughtful poem. tony
The kiss of lost innocence...Indeed! You write ever so well. I miss to read more of your nuggets in the coming days. Kudos!
Very deep, very nicely done. This work has a certain quality that evokes The Seven Ages of Man. Well done.
A creative composition that is both meaningful and moving.
well, it's been a year and a half (and a few kisses; too few) since i last commented. i had forgotten that i'd read it. i didn't laugh this time; must be getting tired. i was a late bloomer in the kissing department (and a few other departments also!) . now i've been there, done that, a few times over. give me the candy kisses and ice cream and i; ll be happy! bri :)
I like it! short and sweet and lovely. Thank you for your comment on And I Stop Laughing! ~mye3
And what about Him who doth kiss so oft On your cheeks in the gentle breeze On your furrowed brow in sunlight warm and soft And at night with moonbeams of ease....? Very good poem and I welcome you to my page too. Wishing you a very happy, prosperous and poetic new year from India.
I am also on the way to write a kiss of different type. almost complete, will be posted very soon. beautiful write.
i'm not sure i agree with Khairul, below. after innocence is lost comes a lot of work and sometimes heartbreak! i laughed at the last stanza...out loud. i have added this, or will, to MyPoemlist. well done, good and faithful poet. try, if you will, my poem 88 Kiss With A Twist...... it is number 88 today anyway. i had to search for it as i could not remember the exact title. i usually find something i don't like about a poem, but i didn't find anything here. thanks for sharing. bri
