A fantastic poem. Life of king from different angle. Inside out where people see them living in luxury yet they suffer loneliness inside. A thought provoking poem.10

How so many believe wealth is required for happiness yet it cannot buy love or friendship. I am with Geoffrey and am a bit of a loner. I Could certainly enjoy the wonderful garden.

The materialistic happiness and some selfish people moving around a king cannot make him a real King. He remains poor as well as alone in his own world if he doesn’t find anyone who really loves him. Thanks for sharing this poem with us, Matthew

The king For all his possessions The palatial residence The antiques and paintings The cars and jewellery Is the poorest of all For this home of grander Is a prison of his nature - - - - - -Solitude is a punishment if there is no body around to share our feelings of joy and sorrow. No amount of wealth or comfort can ever substitute the company of near and dear ones. Congratulations for being selected as the Poet of the Day.

It is just like a body without soul. The palatial residence devoid of love and liveliness is a worst prison.

I Actually like the sound of this stately mansion....! being a bit of a loner could be kept company by the cackling fire and the whispering shadows...! And the antiques and paintings well make it sound I like might really enjoy this type of lifestyle for a while ha ha. Great poem with good feel and colour. Thank you Matthew. Cheers Geoffrey.

Beautiful poem on futile possessions /// Oh! all earning by the valued sweat is futile! none is here loneliness throats fair oh; the gilded palace none is near! Futile earning Futile possessions if relatives and neighbor have no rights to enjoy these then have to die lonely with ghost weeping!
