A House Divided Poem by Dorsey Baker

A House Divided

When a house
is divided
aint nobody
on the same side
when there is
love between neighbors
trust does abide
Cain and Able
the first homocide

a house divided
can never be strong
a house divided
don't never last long

A house divided
is a house
that is in
pain and misery
a house divided
heartbroken
will always be

A house divided
is a house
under stress and strain
a house divided
is a house
where tears come down
just like rain!
