five stars and a LOVELY ending to this series of A Home For Daphne. : ) I enjoyed the series very much. bri ;)
Thank You, Thank you, my dear friend. And I think Aps also should be thanking…… Oooops!
Thanks for explaining prasuuthigruhh, as my online search did not help me. Re: 'And the most handsome her lover' As with some other lines in this series, I would arrange words differently, but I DO understand!
Here, I try to picture Daphne, the character in the Greek Myth, making amends to her rejection of Apollo, as stated in the myth. The story tells us how she turned herself into a laurel tree to escape his pursuit.
"I shall mother all your children" is a vow almost impossible in the world of Weaver Birds. The male weaver birds weave five to six nests in a breeding season and takes as many wives, each mothering his chicks.
I had posted rejoinders to the posts of Richard, Rose Marie and LeeAnn. But all of them have just disappeared. Haunting ph.
I get paid more than £145 to £395 per HOUR for working online. I heard about this job 3 months ago and after joining this I have earned easily £23k from this without having online working skills. Simply give it a shot on the accompanying site… Here's what I do__________CASH46.COM
Poem Hunter poets, such as yourself, entertain readers with flair and style. And I'm learning more about history, geography, culture and human relations than I had ever learned in school. Sincere thanks for the schooling. And the free entertainment. Who ever said that nothing's free?
This series story is about the relationship in avian community. As you have experienced, it is true about human relationships as well. Thank you, Dear poet.
This poem series was about the relationship in the avian species, but could be true of human beings too. Thank you
A wonderful depiction of an enduring love and a love founded on trust.Great images and well crafted and presented.
Hi Rose Marie, As I have stated in one of my Notes, this series is inspired by (1) the Autobiography of the famous Ornithologist Dr Salim Ali, named ‘The Fall of a Sparrow' and the fantastic story of the courtship of Daphne by Apollo, described in the Greek myth.
I feel so excited that a poet like LeeAnn liked the series. Thank you, LeeAnn
I had posted a rejoinder to The note of Ms. Chakraborty. But is not appeared on the page yet. Feels bad…
Thank you, Srijoni. I am so happy that you liked this poem (in a series of 5 parts) of love.
from online: 'Hanging Nests of Weaver Bird A completed nest resembles an upturned long necked pot or jug. Entrance is made in such a way that while the birds find their entry very easily it is extremely difficult for predators like snake to maneuver around to get to the entrance.' bri
