In the shadows, I stood and waited
For a glimpse of care, a hint of love unjaded
But like a ghost, you vanished from sight
Leaving me with just a faint, flickering light
Your words, a whispered promise, lost in the air
A distant echo, without a single care
You spoke of visiting hospitals, of tender deeds
But for me, only silence, and a heart that bleeds
I searched for answers, in the dark of night
For a reason why, you chose to take flight
But like a mirage, you disappeared from view
Leaving me with just a shattered heart, and a soul anew
But I won't be broken, I won't be tamed
I'll rise up, and I'll reclaim my name
I'll wear my scars, like a badge of pride
For I am strong, and I will not be denied
I'll learn to love, to trust, and to be whole
To find my worth, in a love that's true and soul
I'll rise above, the ashes of my past
And I'll emerge, like a phoenix, born to last
So I'll take this pain, and I'll make it my own
I'll turn it into strength, and I'll make it my throne
I'll sit upon it, and I'll reign supreme
For I am a warrior, and I will not be defeated, I will not be seen.
