A Heart On My Breast Poem by rosalinda flores rosevoc

A Heart On My Breast

A heart is mounted
On my breast locked and sealed
In the Psalms of David
Speaks Saint Luke.

On my breast locked and sealed
I am a surrogate
Speaks Saint Luke
Of kinship and offspring.

I am a surrogate
Frontier of travelers
Of kinship and offspring
He makes it known we are tied.

Frontier of traveler's
Longing for a God
He makes it known we are tied
Ascending in the ruins.

Longing for a God
My oldest grandfather
Ascending in the ruins
Come hope, inevitable today.

My oldest grandfather
Professed a secret to me
Come, hope inevitable today
Pleading songs in temples.

Professed a secret to me
To care for me
Pleading songs in temples
Good News to the world.

To care for me
Scattering breaths of heart
Good News to the world
My flight of love

Scattering breaths of heart
It summons me
My flight of love
A command of prayer.
