An old house that has withstood the test of time and weathered life's storm is as important as a new house that is custom built to withstand even the harshest of weather. There are still many old houses still standing and my parents house are one of them. Not only has it weathered the storms but also it behind it's walls love abounded. I truly enjoyed this one Joe brings back many memories.
Reminds me of my grandparents old house on Ohio...I gave this one a 9 - I reserve 10's for the supreme poems, which i'm sure you have a few of...This is as good as W.B. Yeats, Joseph. it's true, authentic, and I'll even use a phrase I used to describe J. Kerouac - soul-obliterating and resurrecting. i feel like your words took me apart rearranged me, and then put me back together as a new version of myself!
However old the house may be, it is a haven that shelters us from every storm. Your deep sentiments for your sweet home is manifest in every line of it and produces a flurry of nostalgic feelings in the readers! ! What a nice read!
