A Hard Thing Poem by Happiness Edeh

A Hard Thing

Love is a hard thing
Though soft and tender
The blow that follows is hard
The Euphoria at first, is
Shipwrecking; Soon,
Tornado it turns
Forcefully pulling one
To a place of heated
Emotional outbursts
Like a Volcanic eruption.

Love is a hard thing
Sweet, alluring and mesmerizing
Undoubtedly mysterious.
Not for a cunning heart to give,
All it knows is deceit.
Easily enticing
Heart that crave lies.
Real Love
Seeks no fantasy.
Buckle up, work
It's a hard thing.
