An imaginative and educational (for me) haiku. Delightful poem and a thank you to Frank James Ryan Jnr for his explanation for this ignoramus. Perfect haiku penning. love, Allie xxxxxx
So simple, and yet so beautiful. Very nice, Ernestine, and in season, too!
And all so needed, a beautiful offering to those that lack such gifts Love duncan X
Its sure is like that offering... everyone is saying that and I am agreeing. But, I do have to mention here that FJR has an interesting episode from his life... all that and the Haiku...... is very interesting to read. Thank You......
AHHH, Tis Nature's Offerage of the Harvest....Finely done...My Mom had a Cornucopia, when i was a very young boy, perhaps 4 or 5. My grandmother was visiting us for Thanksgiving Dinner. She saw & remarked how lovely the Fruit filled, horned, wicker basket looked, then proceded to grab an apple & bite hard into it. My eyes blew out like swirling duncan yo -yo's....THE FRUIT WAS WAX! GEEESSSH! Mom & i worked as a team to pry Grandma's teeth from the wax apple...'Bout a minute later, voila... the apple had bee freed from Grandma's pie-hole. Grandma was relieved & smiled broadly. But again, i had to pick my eye-balls from the floor, as now Grandma had no teeth! Quick, don't throw that apple out i shouted out to my dad, about ready to to give grandma, a denture-free Thanksgiving....WHAT TH' 'ELL, I heard him squall & with that i knew that Grandma would indeed be able to enjoy me Mom's chestnut pie...(TRUE STORY, W/ A WEE BIT O' SPICE ADDED FOR EXTRA SAVOUR) Nice traditional, Z-'KU, young lady''''''''''''''''''''FJR
Great haiku, and I'm sure you wouldn't mind if I took this vision, Ernestine, you have described exactly what I have been looking for, for an empty wall in my house! ! Thank you, I can see it now.... Love, Fran xxx
