Why do you come in dreams at night,
Then fade away with morning light?
Just a moment you choose to stay,
Then quietly drift so far away.

I reach for you in silent prayer,
But dawn arrives — you're never there.
Each night I wait with hope anew,
To see a glimpse, a shade of you.

If only once, before I wake,
Your presence I could truly take —
To hold you close, not let you flee,
And keep you locked inside of me.
