A Great Lesson Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

A Great Lesson

The aircraft
or spacecraft
in the air
no support from ground
no support from water
starting from take-off
to landing
life of passengers
at the mercy of
these aero-machines:
a totally designed human product
any human micro error
can result in fatal catastrophe
every second prone to
trembling of body
knocking the door of death
never be complacent, my friends
never be confident
even in this computer age
of unparalleled sophistication
check every operation
with meticulous care
human life, an unique opportunity
perfection, a non-stop exercise
O Almighty.....
grant us that wisdom.
