Life is a great book sounds more like an object to view outside life rather a subject one is a part and parcel of. I'll find the metaphor more agreeable if it sounds like a book one has to learn and equally fill its pages, rather than viewing from outside perspective. Beside that, it's a great piece of free writing. Good job and thanks for sharing.
