A Godly Thanksgiving Poem by Shaila Touchton

In the presence of our Lord, we gather to give thanks,
With hearts full of praise, and spirits that joyfully clank.
For the blessings we've received, the love that's been shown,
We express our deepest gratitude, to our Savior, Jesus Christ, alone.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! (Psalm 107: 1)
His love endures forever, His mercy never fades.
We thank You, Lord, for Your goodness and grace (Psalm 23: 6)
For the blessings You've bestowed, the love You've shown on our face.

Your faithfulness is our shield, Your presence our guiding light (Psalm 119: 137)
You are our Rock, our Redeemer, our Savior and Friend (Psalm 19: 14)
We thank You for Your sacrifice, for the cross that our sins did end (John 3: 16)
Your resurrection power, gives us life, hope, and a future to amend (1 Corinthians 15: 57)

We thank You for Your Holy Spirit, who guides and comforts us still (John 14: 26)
For the fruit of Your Spirit, that grows in us, and makes our hearts fulfill (Galatians 5: 22-23)
The gifts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5: 22-23)

We thank You for our families, our friends, and our communities,
For the love and support they provide, and the memories we create with glee.
We thank You for our health, our strength, and our abilities,
For the opportunities we have, and the blessings that flow from Your merciful hands.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! (Psalm 107: 1)
