I recollect Pearl Of Love, a short story by Oscar Wild. It started with love of Mumtz Mahal, gradually it was changed in love of art, for us it's a symbol of love, a work of art. You have written a nice poem on it. I visited this wonderful tomb on my twentieth birthday.

Fairer than the sky, akin to third eye Visitors' mind illumine with cosmic bliss As night snuffs asleep. What's bricked up looking glass Dawn sunpolishes Till Jamuna's surface looks back....... touching expression. Beautifully painted on Taj Mahal. Thanks for sharing.

You had us standing in front of the Taj Mahal and I thank you for putting me there emotionally because it will never be physically.

The Taj at Agra in India is a monument that speaks volumes about the hapless thousands who toiled and perished in the process and it stands out as an image of hypocritical dimensions far fetched from the real angles of love between an emperor and his wife. The poem points finger at the evidences of many disastrous acts of human folly.
