A Gentle Torture Poem by Hassan Alamgir

A Gentle Torture

I name the things
Entitle them
Try to define and redefine the predefined ones
And give them a meaning

For this, I preferably go to the past
And mostly try to remain in the present

I have that time machine; I go back in time, bring the torch, and give some gentle torture to any given entity

This combination is superb every single time!

Now, the moon, a traditional charpai, this sweet sweet gur (گُڑ) , and I!

A Gentle Torture
