The power of flight is something I would love to have and gain the freedom of the skies in actuality rather than in my imagination.I love all birds but the raptors hold a special place in my heart ivor

A very carefully crafted piece of work - the poem, and the eagle - with great balance and rhythm, and consistent internal rhymes throughout. Great attention to detail on display here, with the content matching the form perfectly! I like the insight of 'Endowed with a foolproof strategy' - the result of millions of years of work by a very thorough mother nature. You managed to place us on board there for a few minutes Ernestine. Lovely piece of writing! xx jim

The rhyme and rhythm make this lovely poem flow, just like the flight of the mighty eagle. Such magnificent birds. You've captured the feeling of the hunter but also the gracefulness and regality of this killing machine. Another one of your greats, Ernestine. Love, Fran xxx

All stanzas here are well-connected and bring visual delights, but I think that my favourite part is the last, it seems to say so much and ties it all together so elegantly Take care sweet-heart, Love duncan X
