I set out on a long trip,
In a train that spans from end to end.
Out through the window flashed past,
Assorted scenes one by one.

My mind moored to the final halt Saw nothing before, but the station Fellow travellers - a flaunting......... journey never ends it may fly to years of strug, , , , , , ,
A train journey is a most satisfying experience, especially a long one. You are able to see the country and people for what they are. But the journey's end is also welcomed, much like our journey in life, except that we are in no hurry to see the end. Thank you Valsa for the exciting journey.
Through this poem what I want to establish is that not only the destination, but the journey also is equally important! So one should learn to enjoy the beautiful sights on the way and establish good camaraderie with fellow travelers.....! Thank you Indira madam
A long train journey trailing life's memories with expectation and disappointment, mind and heart throwing a distant look through the eyes....right Valsa? ....quite touching and interesting
With my gaze fixed beyond the horizon Caring not to see what lies before I continue to travel miles on end To a place that outdistances me ever! An amazing poem....................10
a fool is drawn to a poem with this title! but when i saw i'd commented already, i did not reread it. but i did read some of my previous comment. and i just read croaking frogs, in which you used agog as well! i'm agog at your frequent use of agog! :) bri p.s. i just looked up agog and it doesn't seem to fit my comment so well, but i'm leaving it there! - - - - - - - - - - a·gog ?'gäg/ adjective adjective: agog very eager or curious to hear or see something. I'm all agog to see London synonyms: eager, excited, impatient, keen, anxious, avid, in suspense, on tenterhooks, on the edge of one's seat, on pins and needles, waiting with bated breath tell us what happened—we're all agog! - - - - - - - thanks for sharing. are there any of your poems no one has commented on already? ? older ones? i'd be glad to have a shot at them.
What the fool captured and detailed made my heart totally full...................... Amazing one. Valsa - very nice
Bri, you have guessed it right! It is all these......except the last one! Thanks for the smart comment!
My ears agog to shouts of welcome..........it's been a LONG time since i last heard the word agog! i bet i never knew exactly what it meant. now i do, until i forget. :) i'll also bet that this poem has some meaning at the end which is somewhat, or entirely, hidden from me. is the 'author' a fool for missing much of what life has to offer because her mind is on some goal she is overanxious to reach? ? OR is she a fool for not enjoying the variety of scenery and people she could have 'encountered' on a train ride to a reunion of some sort? OR is she NOT a fool for NOT letting extraneous scenes and people interrupt her quest? AND, is she (or the character speaking in the poem) going to get an ulcer due to impatience? ? ? i guess the reader will decide for her/himself. interesting trip. thanks for sharing. bri :)
The same thing you suppose about this poem wants to tell my ''As on unhydrous dry land''.Valsa admits it too.
A fool? No, I think you have captured a common human experience very effectively!
A great write! Purpose makes our lives more directed. There is a reason for its journey. Sometimes we take a journey like this to spend time with ourselves. To journey within.....that certainly is not foolish! ! I loved the poem!
A picture travel on the train with a feel as though the reader was with you sure no fool at the end...greatb write...regards

lving in the moment is the way to go. tomorrow will take care of itself. nice write
Reminds me of a journey I traveled. That was fifteen hundreds km. I used to get off the train wherever it stopped and talked to the people. I witnessed many different cultures within my small country. Thanks for bringing those memories to my inward eyes. Very Well written
The reader also travels with you in the train eyeing the different scenes that pass by.-the different people who get in and alight-and then reaching the terminus. The last para is philosophical and the entire poem is fantastic.
A classic example of Can't see the forrest for the trees. I'm sure we all have had numerous such experiences in our lives, finding out, after each one of them, that hind sight is 20/20.
I dreamt, my life - a jig saw puzzle The pieces neatly fitting together On arrival after a tedious trip Once and for all, at my terminus........loved these lines. It is a beautiful poem with fantastic expression. Thanks for sharing.
