A Fond Farewell Comments

Rating: 3.6

One day I sent some words to Tel Aviv.

I have sadly, had the task of writing many a eulogy, but they are always laced in love, and tribute, for the touches of inspiration, offered to me....your farewell is a wonderful wave goodbye...enjoyed it immensely. I would like to invite you to read my submitted poetry, as I am new to this forum, and value all critiques. PEACE

I only just found this. Seems strange I choose the same title for a poem of mine I'm not sure it is a good as this however. Great teachers are the hardest to find one and when you do you should treasure him/her as you have done here.

'As always' you are fragrant fresh In your epitaph for your teacher 'Till soon', In gratitude it is deeply drenched For lasting peace the flowerbed blooms. Ever a friend, CP

A deep sense of gratitude is woven by your words. Teachers hold a special place in the lives of many but how many choose to hold them in their hearts? In so doing, one shows nobility of character.

The grass covers all, but the memory lives on. This heartfelt tribute is very fitting - as Memorial Day weekend draws to a close.

Your poem goes to an ancient land that produced a poet-king, and like David's words remain forever, so does your love saved in sacred stazas. Uriah

The quiet dignified words, and the graceful, gentle imagery, make for a heartfelt and powerful poem of mourning. It is a beautiful tribute to a beloved teacher and friend. I could feel both the sadness of the moment and the richness of the past.

Sandra... So lovely...touching. And so it is, that you still share the shadow, of one you thought so well of. Be well...

This one brought a tear to the eyes. Understated, elegant and rich with your shared history. This reader can feel the strength of the bond between you and respond to it emotionally. That's the mark of a fine poet. love Allie xxxx

Elliot Smith might just berate you for doing a finer job with this title and respective piece, than his lyrics did. forget goodbyes. they are just hellos again. love, sjg
