A Fleeting Moment Poem by L MILTON HANKINS

A Fleeting Moment

I cannot thank in past tense-
knowing care has not ceased
that this moment is not leased
But granted freely to me.

A fleeting moment already gone
must be in my thanksgiving
consumed, unmindfully, in living.
