Yes! ! ! I always flinch when I see round bales! I was accustomed to rectangular hay bales that were si easy to break into meal sized flakes for the different horses. I look at those round bales and my head tilts and my mind goes round and round on how to divide that monster up. Now you have given me something pleasant to think about! ! ! Thank you! ! ! 10++ and onto my fav list! ! !
The bale of hay The dome of hay Reminder bell in the busy mind in the busy thought the childlike and childish game hide and seek ...........yes exactly right you are; beautifully crafted
It's nostalgic to dig out the childhood enjoyments. The imagery you have created to express it is appreciable. Hay bales deserve a prime place among the properties made use of as a support of games, especially hide and seek. Effective imagery. Superb.

As children we too used to play hide and seek behind hay stacks and piles of hay! This poem has brought back a surge of sweet memories in me and I feel very nostalgic! Thanks dear friend!
a fascinating poem about childhood and games, those bales of hay looked like giant balls, so safely hidden behind them, I am very homesick for these days, but this sparkling poem of yours brought me intense relief! Thank you so much, great poetess! a 10 +++ and to MyPoemsList.

How wonderful to be pricked by a natural scene and to be able to write such a lovely, and evocative poem like this. Live pictures thru words, can exist! Simply and beautifully done. Those are the best, thankyou, dear Poetess.
As a person engaged in farming, I could relate directly with the images. And those of my childhood, when we used to play hide and seek among the hay bales, literally. Enjoyed the poem so much. It's brevity speaks volumes, Rose Marie. Loved it.
