A Fickle Heart Poem by Starfish ZA

A Fickle Heart

Rating: 4.5

Move on as fast as you can
He doesn't love you, he doesn't need you,
He is a man with a fickle heart.
He will never know how much he's hurt you—
Stubborn silence presses against your skull,
thick as smoke, choking out every thought.
He has stolen your trust, like a thief in the night,
leaving only shadows where light once lived.
Don't lash out, don't fall down,
He does not deserve you; he has a fickle heart.

Finding your safe place feels like searching for a lighthouse,
lost in the dark waves of his absence.
He is a man with a fickle heart,
Always looking for someone better,
Feigned innocence in what he has done.
Love was a thorn that tore through your chest,
leaving bleeding scars in the shape of promises.
Don't lash out, don't fall down,
He does not deserve you; he has a fickle heart.

Peace was the glass you held, shimmering in your palm—
until he smashed it with a single careless touch.
He is a man with a fickle heart.
Pray for time's hands to cradle you,
to bandage the wounds he left behind.
Too proud for an apology,
He has turned your world upside down.
Don't lash out, don't fall down,
He does not deserve you; he has a fickle heart.

Move on, heartache lesson learned.
He will do it again to another innocent, better one,
Because he is a man with a fickle heart.
Don't wait for his hollow apology—
his words are as empty as a shattered mirror,
reflecting only his own face.
Set yourself free, like a bird shaking off the weight of its chains.
Don't lash out, don't fall down,
He does not deserve you; he has a fickle heart.

The storm is over now—
I've found the strength to walk alone,
No longer lost in his fickle shadow,
I am whole again, and I'm free.

Don’t lash out, don’t fall down He does not deserve you, he has a fickle heart Why do you care so much! Let him move on the whole globe, you are a refined soul if he comes again give him a bit more but without any expectation of getting return. Making of the poem is good. Repetition of the quoted lines are acting as the slogans of the deceived age and youth. Thank you, write more Apoet Bangla.
