Ah yes the words that is the hardest thing to do in life.....I always think of myself as a 'Good' Christian....but I often wonder if I have it in me for total forgiveness if my child was killed by a drunk driver....or caught in the line of fire of a gun not meant for them....both very real possibilities in today's world sad to say..
It depends my friend on what is done, some things are unforgivable, you can't just say forgive all and turn the other cheek, life does not work that way, not in this world... Andy 10
I totally agree, but sometimes people just push all your buttons, and you jump down their throats. I think that's human nature. We strive to be understanding and non-judgemental, but none of us is perfect, at least not in this lifetime! Hopefully, we will progress to the time that we actually ARE perfect - sounds a bit boring, don't you think? lol! Linda :)
yes.i agree, David. Forgiveness is a humbling action of a person. I have already forgiven the person who insulted me here in PH.But i hate what he has done.Thanks for this wonderful message across the globe. you little sis, Meggie
I agree heartily with the sentiments you have shared in this poem. Holding on to rage disempowers the one maligned far more than it hurts the perpetrator. An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. (now who wrote that?) Great poem. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
