A Fear Of Love Poem by Daya Nandan

A Fear Of Love

Love can be a cushion, love can be a deadly knife,
And hence, brings about this story about a girl being single all her life,
A pretty young woman she is with a great life to start,
But she fears one thing, giving away her tender heart,

Many reasons there are for this love she fears,
For it can either make you happy or impale you with spears,
It depends on your heart, personality and skill,
To find a partner who won’t throw your heart down a hill,

For heartbreaks are painful and all heartbreaks hurt,
But it doesn’t mean you should bury your heart in dirt,
I understand well why is it love she may fear,
For the path of love is unpredictable and never clear,

Why do we live when we know one day we will die?
Same reason we love knowing one day it will make us cry,
Love is that feeling that will make anyone smile,
A well treasured feeling truly making life worthwhile,

In every relationship there will times when we feel tears in our eye,
But soon after some understanding those tears will always dry,
For every mistake that young lovers may make,
Is another stepping stone that both of them shall take,

Anyone can fall in love just as anyone can fall out,
Anyone can say those three magical words through their mouth,
Life is a gamble and the world is a casino,
And when true love comes you should never let it go,

It is a fact that even angels and god above,
Know very well that no mortal can run from love,
Love is risky but worth giving a chance,
For one wouldn’t be complete in life without even loving once,

Its hard to keep love in till the grave to reserve,
For love is a feeling that all beating hearts deserve,
Love is not fake, not just a mirage of the mind,
Love is not an illusion, It is not impossible to find,

If there is nothing ventured, there is nothing you will gain,
Don’t give in to fear of a heartbreak and its piercing pain,
For you will never know when to you true love will arrive,
That exploding feeling in your heart that makes you truly alive,

So give it a chance, have faith in romance,
It might just be the right guy asking you for a dance,
It is that pulsating heart inside us that we have to give,
Love is something that without, it will be hard to live,

In life there will always be pain, sadness and glory,
So give love a chance and make yours a worthy story,
For if you never try, you will never know,
And forever love will avoid you and it will never show,

If you fall down in love and tears roll down your face,
Know that there is a guy out there for everyone hidden someplace,
Though sometimes live ends with the most intense pain,
Never, never ever say you will never love again,

It may succeed, it may hurt that is the way and the art of love,
This is why they envy us the angels of heavens above,
For it is said that angels are not allowed to fall in love,
And enjoy that blissful feeling bestowed to mortals from above,

No man is truly complete without a wife,
Just as we are incomplete without love in our life,
No one ever in history said love was a simple quest,
You have to search the north, south, east and west,

Loving a man is a woman’s most wonderful deed,
Eventhough there are times love makes your heart bleed,
Be understanding and patient and love will surely last,
Holding on and adaptation in every love is a must,

Love transcends boundaries of both time and space,
Love with a full heart be that love in the right place,
Now i will tell you a secret of lovers untold,
Find a man that stands by you in both hot and cold,

A man that stands strong with great persistence,
One who will not give up on you no matter the distance,
Patient and understanding in times of both anger and stress,
That kind of relationship is the special kind that Gods will bless,

Loyal, kind and caring, very simple it seems,
Without realizing that is the guy of every woman's dreams,
A simple man who is faithful with an honest heart,
That is the special type of love that will never part.
