ok, Ray, this will make the 4th consecutive year this poem has received a comment. better than some poems do on PH. :) favorite lines so far: They step away, a life of their own to start. AND But remember should God give me the wisdom to listen, I have a broad shoulder when a tear upon cheek should glisten, assuming this is not 'made up, i'd say your child is very lucky! i'll put this in my May 'showcase' on my PH site. thanks for sharing. bri :)
really strong and heartfelt poem, how parents show their selfless love: I have a broad shoulder when a tear upon cheek should glisten.
Beautiful Ray, you love your children so much, at times they cause much pain and agony thru behaviour, health, lack of thankfulness, but once they come to that point they shine thru their appreciation at last. Meg
A very lovely poem. I agree with Bri's favorite lines, I also like: I watched a beautiful young woman as she stepped the isle. With maids surrounding she flashes her parents a comforting smile. I did that less than a year ago. and Where is the tomboy, who bowled the boys out? that describes me pretty well Darla :)
