He has no time to spare for himself. Dark clouds loom over the field.

A wonderful poetic image that leaves the farmer between the pincers of toil and the vicissitudes of the terrain and the atmosphere. Rose is always close to nature and its contents, a brilliant poet.

They are the most important figures who keep our civilized world going, they feed our cities and yet get little reward. A fantastic celebration!

Now that is capturing the truth of a human life through the snapshots of him hard at work---dang, that's the way to deal life truth's through poetry.. much more than a 5 star poem, deserves best poem status. You let the character of the man speak for itself---awesome! To MY Favorites!

A poem so close to my heart, dearest Rose. A farmer toils from sunrise to sunset without realising the sweat and blood given to Mother earth.

Part 2…. When I read this marvellous poem, I am reminded of a famous story from the epics, Lord Mahavishnu and Sage Narada appear beside the protagonist, an unknown farmer. I shall try to tell you this story some day.

A farmer has no time to spare, for the crops on his field demand his attention 24x7. I am a farmer myself and I know. Thank you, Rose Marie for understanding a farmer's woes. Nice one. Top score and myfav

They live on the mercy of the nature. God is kind to them most of the times and test them with patience and hope. Fantastic poem 5****

A farmer's work is laudable. He works untiringly without sparing a single second for his own personal needs

A farmer's work is never done until the setting of the sun. If this is a contest, your poem just won!
