A wonderful poetic image that leaves the farmer between the pincers of toil and the vicissitudes of the terrain and the atmosphere. Rose is always close to nature and its contents, a brilliant poet.
They are the most important figures who keep our civilized world going, they feed our cities and yet get little reward. A fantastic celebration!
Now that is capturing the truth of a human life through the snapshots of him hard at work---dang, that's the way to deal life truth's through poetry.. much more than a 5 star poem, deserves best poem status. You let the character of the man speak for itself---awesome! To MY Favorites!

A poem so close to my heart, dearest Rose. A farmer toils from sunrise to sunset without realising the sweat and blood given to Mother earth.
Part 2…. When I read this marvellous poem, I am reminded of a famous story from the epics, Lord Mahavishnu and Sage Narada appear beside the protagonist, an unknown farmer. I shall try to tell you this story some day.
