And tottering dreams based on the sand.
Yet the desire continued to bloom,
To produce the green out of the doom.

This is a beautiful feeling for the farmer. True the farmer, toils so hard, does not have high expectations, but he is the person who provides the most important product, food for our survival. But sadly he doesn't get his due. He needs to be supported and adviced for he has that will to work very hard and a heart of gold. Nice write 10+++

The Indian farmers are still dependent on vagaries of Indian monsoon! The Leftist party after coming to power in W.Bengal, had started a movement which made many to sell off the lands at a reduced price to farmers! The slogan was that the land must belong to the tillers of the soil! I do not know about other states! But I feel the lot for the farmers did not improve very much! ! ! A nice poem! 10++ -Raj Nandy

Just think how wonderful it would be, to be a farmer of plenty. Sow the world with love; and reap the fields of plenty. And going to sleep at night knowing their is no hunger child. Vailbhav my friend you have a magical touch with poetry 10+++++

Dear Vaibhav, Welcome to our farmers' world with this very beautiful and touching poem. I started taking up social issues with farmers only from my earlier poems HONORABLES and THAT RAINY DAY. The more and more we get deep into subject, we see more pain and so many tears rolling; the real place where a poet has to dwell.Very well done. Excellent poem
