Beautiful and serene, Whitman has always been able to capture imagery with the vivid use of description. He is able to take you to places, revealing a warmth and a sadness.

For a change Walt holds himself to brevity. And what an invitation by the bard! Not just any open barn door but an ample one! -GK

This isn't a poem but a beautiful painting I can feel the sun warm on my furrowed brow And hear the cows moo and sheep so bleating In short words Walt Witman puts on such a splendid show...... I welcome all to my page for your valuable comments please
