Humor is pleasantly deployed to convey sensual frustration - a good formula!

(cont.) HERE: Ah, had you held me...i think one would be a fairly sophisticated reader of English to understand that the sentence WILL be complete after the word reading. but i think it would be clearer (to me at least) if you had put but after you: Ah, had you but held me.... i wonder how an English teacher would explain that sentence's structure. bri :)

What a great concept, Bharati! I like it! For you take something so common to express a longing entirely original in my experience. Cool! Hoping this finds you well, Glen

Now that makes me give a romantic sigh.... many a woman would give anything if her man gave her such passionate attention as he gives his bowling ball or motorcycle or favorite dinner! Love this write, Bharati, and I cannot imagine a man ignoring your sweet self! ! ! 10++++++++++++++++++++++

This is the secret wish of every wife..... or woman! We all long to be looked into our eyes to be read inside out! A deep understanding of the partner cements marital relationships! This poem is equally applicable to all relationships!

A beautiful metaphorical poem on love. A beloved is hauntingly compared with newspaper which is so amusing. Let it be quoted....Ah, had you held me in your hands Like the newspaper Read my eyes With same eagerness And would not let me go, Before you finished reading! ! ! Thanks.10

Hi Bharati, Marvellous poem. Effectively expresses the fading love life in the marital relationship (although the poet has not written so in so many words) . Touching the heart, due to its closeness to reality. A 100+++++
