A Family Today Poem by Raghurama Raju

A Family Today

Rating: 5.0

My wife settles down on a couch
Checking WhatsApp messages on her mobile!
I'm busy on a sofa in the hall
Chatting with my friends on Facebook!
My grown-up son finds his way into another room
With long wires hanging down his ears!

We, the three, for many years
Live under the same roof as a family!
Since we don't ownthree separate houses
Nor it's wise to engage three cooks!
Now, I learn, it's not just relations
But economic calculations
That keep people together!

The world of technology is keeping families apart even though they live together. Beautiful. Please kindly check my poems HOPE and THE BEAUTY OF DEATH and leave your comments.
