'feasting on dried prunes' - I got to thinking maybe it's constipation? Nice humor, although this comment is late.
Every family has their problems but some people cannot accept that they are human. They feel that if it isn't talked about it doesn't exist. You put it so very well and I give you a '10! ' for that! I love your writing style, Stanley! Best Wishes, Marilyn
I like this poem very much. Of course, I'm guessing what the secret is but I will never know, will I.
All I can say Stanley, is that prunes, do nothing to me at all, which is wonderful, especially as I love them. A very enjoyable read of a very funny write. Actually prunes are the highest fruit/veg in antioxidants, something like 5000 plus per 3 ounces, against apricots at 300. Useful bit of information if you are fighting the free-radicals. i liked it, it starts off all serious, but ends with humour. I liked the twist Sincerely Nickie
They have an unpleasant trait, right? Get them on medication immediately. We don't want people with unpleasant traits roaming the avenues & highways. This poem could have done without the prunes.
A stuck up, constipated family with their noses in the air! I liked this write! Again witty word placement.
