With you every step of the way Joe. Great poem. Can you check out Ls.3 and 4 in the penultimate verse. Might be a typo. You may like Forty Seven Years. :)

you are not alone, others do see Joseph. We all await our destiny. Perhaps we will write our poetry for the angels to sing in the heavenly choir. That would be a great reward. nice read

So candid, So very realistic! ! At certain point of time, every one is plagued by such doubts! But we are likely to over come such falterings and move to deeper Faith! There is a life after death and we will be rewarded with eternal bliss! I am sure God will overlook our minor blemishes, for He is kind and merciful! This is my staunch faith! ! A fabulous write! !

Oh Joseph, you have penned one for the ages, a voice speaking out from and for humanity; I love the honesty in the words, the truth of a searching soul. So well done my friend. One of my favorites, indeed. Kathleen Norris wrote in her wonderful book Amazing Grace: doubt is merely the seed of faith, a sign that faith is alive. The great theologian Paul Tillich once wrote: doubt is not the opposite of faith, it is indeed part of it. Keep writing, it's great to hear true words that are bare and real!

Dear Joseph, This is a very honest expression of sincere doubt followed by a last sentence filled with a certainty. The thoughts expressed are very touching and I think I can fully understand them. I want to say this, Joseph. Your poetry is superb. You keep touching many hearts with each of your masterly crafted wonderfully rhyming poems. Keep on writing, keep on writing. Each visit to your collection is a welcome delight to my heart.

Hello Joe, This is a wonderful poem about faith or lack of it. Keep your faith in God. Don't look to the right nor to the left just straight ahead. The big prize is just ahead of you. A heartfelt write.

With everything that is going on in the world, it is hard to have faith in anything. But we must at least have faith in ourselves and live as good a life as possible, then we can meet our end with as little regret as possible. A fabulous poem Joseph, really well written.
