Wow, great writing. The 'cacophonies of the world’s moods' has got to be my favorite phrase for the month. I have to take momentous poems a phrase at a time or I might just get lost..(not a bad thing either, in a poem like this one)

A very beautiful imagery has been portrayed conveying many different themes. It can be considered as an aging process as far as humans are concerned with the elders passing away with new generations in line to make this world more fertile. Then if one considers the exact word to word meaning of the poem, it can also be conceived as it is a true phenomenon that olden leaves fall and they become the part of soil making it more fertile like humus and that serves as a good nourishment for the new plants. Then if we consider it as a human race then it is again a reality that old people they always leave behind a baseline for the young seedlings so that they start their struggle from the point left by their elders... A very inspirational poem with several meanings.............

This is a graceful and very satisfying poem whose stanza's drift downward as falling leaves. Even in their descent we are told of the promise of new life emerging from the decay of what has fallen.
