Life is just ‘stop-over’ in journey …of what I don’t know… But Death is not a ‘stop-over’ but ‘Ever’ …as some sects in India worships Death… Great poet R.N.Tagore wrote O’ Death you’re like Shyam [Lord Krishna] To be more straight Life is accident …but Death is incident… Excellent poem Sir 10++ Ms. Nivedita UK

And He shall be the last to lay us down......and a certain amount of joy imagining a friend who does not deceive

Faithful lover at the end of life when he claims us? - there is no escaping death. He really is with us until then and we just never know when he will pounce. Well done as it set us thinking - Cindy

Ah - good old Death. Why is it that many shy away when others confront by writing poems about Him? This is an excellent example Dr Hitesh and is typical of your supreme poetic standard. I admit to being fascinated by Him as in my poems Death, Inevitable Death, Death my Friend, It's Death Again, and Death in Reflection. Not that I am obsessed you understand! ! Occasionally I think about life too... Mark

Irony leaves a strong stamp on this fascinating poem about life's sly companion. The rhyming couplet form too (almost like the tramping of feet) reinforces the death march rhythm of the piece. Your faithful lover is certainly a fascinating metaphor for death as one who is always there, watching. A bold and brazen poem. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Very much interesting you are presenting your idea. Unusually vividly. If a death of the masculine gender is a lover, for me he is a surprise. More I became accustomed that it was woman. Your poem took me on still other path and I am thinking, whether it is the other path, or only my vivid imagination, is suggesting me additional solutions for this topic. Your poem interested me and what's more he puzzled. You are writing nice and and very good, and it is hard to resist the impression, that writing such a poem as this, you have interesting field for observation, in what way words are bringing up other. Everyone has this possibility but... your profession is your additional asset :) and poem - wonderful. I am greeting and I thank. :) (10v.) Maria Barbara Korynt
