Once again I find myself in a garden and I must say this is a beautiful garden of ideas.10
brilliant...and the last stanza tells me you get more than you bargain for!
Illustrates perfectly what I love about your poems, that every word is precisely chosen, and the whole intelligently crafted. You weave a feeling of colour that makes the poem hang in the mind for a good while.
I like the idea here, of freely trading the finer things of life (silk) and the too busy things of life (that ringing phone...) for the chance to get down and dig and plant in the soil, getting dirt under your fingernails! Great writing!
A beautiful composition with a nice ending: 'open my mind - and become lost in a pale lime wing against purple petunia.'.
I'm with Frank - and enjoyed the neatly wrapped images you unfolded. Rgds, Ivan
No question mark required, I'd have option two any day. Great work Callista. Happy gardening! !
barter ringtones, mine and not mine, for the reedy whirr of bee wings.............ingenious write yet of unique genre,10++, thanks for sharing
