A Fair Girl Poem by shakil ahmed

A Fair Girl

A Fair Girl

I saw a fair girl
As white as snow
Her visage had a sparkling glow
But her name, I don’t know.

She was a girl of sixteen
Sitting under the shade of a tree
She was alone in the garden
But looked happy and carefree.

I cast a furtive glance
Over her charming face
She seemed, not a human,
Rather possessing heavenly grace.

She was all alone
When sun was setting in the west
I thought she was tired
And taking some rest.

Suddenly a boy came
And told something in a whisper
Smiling broadly the girl stood
And the boy kissed her.

I got perturbed
And walked rapidly out of rage
As if somebody had opened
The door of my golden cage.

The moon was peeping in the sky
Along with its golden light
I loved the moon whole heartedly
Through out the whole night.

Whenever life becomes gloomy
In the hot purple noon
I eagerly wait and wait
For my lovely golden Moon.

But her name, i don't know; however, you will surely search for her. Nice work with the muse of love and life.
