Beautifully conceived great poem depicting the different hues of true love and pain at the thought of forcible deserting the partner. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
the poem captures the loss of death from the dying man's perspective...beautiful one
Loss in our world is the greatest emotion. Your depiction here is quite telling of your name, Lucifera, bringer of the light. Very well written, but sadly today's top poems are all about grief. I'm afraid this Tuesday is starting off a little sadly... But that is emotion too. Well done Poet
This Tuesday is really Wednesday, John, at least here in the U.S.A. But you are right that this poem is very well done.
Beautifully penned the emotions crossing the mind of a dying man/woman who is more concerned for the beloved. The pain and agony his beloved goes through those trying times.
My pain is enough! ! So, help me and, smile with me. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
The point of view from a dying person is quite interesting, yet he tells such a sad story. I think this kind of emotion is universal; it is not just about love. It reminds me of the moment when I lost my mum.
It gave me a boom of heartache reading your poem....well write, it's awesome
The stigma of separation warps us with a boom of heartache, but it is a breaking moment for one and all...nevertheless, memories of the dear ones gone before us still burn and keep the Living on fire....great write
to lose is difficult but somehow we gain the strength to carry on. good read
Leaving is often more difficult for those left behind who find it hard to continue on especially when a sudden death. It is so special when the deceased has made their own Funeral arrangemnts. I will Always Need you' beautifully put. Thank you
I like this. Great expression. Leaving is always difficult.
This is a unique theme, imagining the final moments of departure from this mundane world and going to eternity, while the beloved watches at bedside the pangs of death being suffered by the departing soul. The latter implores the beloved not to be at her bedside so that she can ' Shriek with pain and moan'. She imagines the pain he would suffer while watching her in pain, so she urges him to 'go to church to avert it' and pray there for her. What a benign and gracious thought! Artfully conceived and wonderfully expressed! So...well done! I commend you for this lovely poem.
life is death in sleep.. sleep is a dream of life dream of death..
