King Joshef built a beautiful church,
ordered his subjects
to come and visit the Lord.
People thronged from every
nook and corner in large numbers
even though the journey
was very hard.
Those days horses were used
to carry people from one
point to another.
The king provided all horses
from his stables to
bring the visitors.
The king prayed the Lord
to bless all those who
see His light in the church.
Suddenly a voice from inside
spoke that only the Peter
who lives in the other side
of the hill could see my light
and wanted the king
to order for a search.
Peter was summoned to the king who asked him how many
times he visited the Lord.
Peter replied he could not
come even once, begged apology,
said he was very busy day and night
to feed and water the tired horses who
carried thousands to
the church yard.
The king understood that
Peter's selfless work
was his worship.
Therefore my dear friends
God is omnipresent,
is within each being,
we need not seek a holy place,
need not utter prayers,
need no special offerings
and flowers to worship Him.
We are born to work
that decides our destiny,
the best offering can be
our small daily duty
done sincerely with a
kind heart and helping limbs.
Your God is within yourself, as is the fragrance within a flower. Then, why are you searching Him outside, like a musk-deer searching for the smell of musk in the grass, while the smell, the musk emanates from its own body?
A wonderful poem that shows our selfless work will make us through the kingdom of God.
A well presented fable of great insight and wisdom. What is faith when we only seek for the holy place and pray without action. Bless are those who can show their faith in their noble works, acts and deeds.
