A Drop Of Venus Poem by Timothy Long

A Drop Of Venus

I can breathe again,
Before her I couldn't breathe as good,
But it's different,
She's different,
Without you I'm an unknown soldier,
Until the end you will not bow,
You have given me the signs,
It's finally letting go of me,
Tell me why the world is so cold,
Over and over, I get lost in you,
Just like you I want to get out a live,
I'm scared to let you down,
Burn down this so-called life,
Your chains of abuse end in redemption,
A scar is born like the souvenirs of no tomorrow,
No more going down,
My life with you starts now,
Misery loves my company,
Give me a reason in the time that remains,
An unbreakable heart that is unanimous,
The sign of the times,
The high road of expectations,
You are the last line of my lifetime.
