One day, a stranger paid a visit to me at night
And I welcomed it with little bit annoyance as
It would always come untimely and without notice
To make the existing ambience topsy-turvy;
I therefore ordered it with ego and haughtiness:
' I am too healthy and well settled, please come later '
Having politely ignored my ego centric words,
It entered the room, pulled out a chair and sat on it.
' You have ten more minutes, you met with an accident
In the morning, and you're now on the ventilator '
No sooner did the doctor remove the life support
Than it took away all my arrogant expressions!
Death always maintains its card punching system intact
I realized that: ' Oh, my death, you are most welcome'
I hugged my death but soon woke up to my partner's scream;
My philosophical dream then couldn't weather the storm!
