A poet's fantasy only could perceive the door on a street that opens to another life, much alien to her. But the fantasy disappears soon enough, and the door is closed. What remains, is the un-ending misery. But, at least this time, this one time, the misery is so enlightened with her new knowledge

Quite a sensational write. She is comforted as a passerby by an open door which helps her misery.A lesson that there is a need to be open to others

The hands that opened the door and rescued shut it again throwing out the rescued...The door as sudden shut, and I, I, lost, was passing by, - Lost doubly, but by contrast most, Enlightening misery....a way to accept misery....only Emily can write

.......seems as if she is saying she caught a glimpse of wealth, warmth and company...as she was passing by...but she would rather be alone cause all is not what it seems...

I wonder if she closed the door because she was afraid and backed away. It is hard to say and she is living with the misery.
