interesting to read this, bharati, after just reading and responding to a comment on my poem " on rembrandt's bathsheba." the speaker in this poem you translated is aware of her own physical beauty but, as a sign of maturity or wisdom, knows it cannot remain as it is. there is much more to attraction than physical beauty, and in marriage much more that i/that one finds endearing. -glen
