A great horse play narrative. The unfairness carries on and on and on people preferring their own to win.

Interesting story but sad to note how poor animal was used in human ploy.

A poem that shows corruption never goes away it hides in dark corners for there is always someone ready to pay? .....well written.

Got a tickle out of it though I felt sorry for that mare being caught in the toils of men's plots to get their hands on some money. This sort of thing still goes on in a much paler way- -a crop swung beside a foe's head to cause him to swerve- - boxing a favorite in- -fortunately no shoving jockeys off their horses today though. Enjoy Banjo's Australian tales! ! !
