A beautiful and compelling composition ceremoniously rich in tone. A lovely work of art. Thanks for sharing, Jenny.

The language used is such that it evokes very strong imagery in the mind. The chaos, the laughter, and the sheer enjoyment eating dinner with family at home, all these feelings have been expressed so well in the poem. Loved your composition ma'am!

Thank you, Chandini! I grew up in a family of seven, so this was a typical scene at dinner time. - Jenny

Great poem! So many things were similar to meals at my house when I was a kid, except our pets were outside pets and never allowed in the house. We lived on a farm, and leftovers (if any) went to the pigs.

Family members might separate for the daily life obligations but they still try to make the life tasty, I like this metaphoric point, maybe never thought of it before. thanks for sharing.
