It's like the pagan affinity, as the greeks would feel with nature especially with the star-lit sky, n would draw wisdom by it...a rich central metaphor is used with a meaningful compression...

diamond is forever...but maybe you referring to the wisdom you had. Astronomer in ancient saw the same sky as we are today...I wish the universe is constant and like a diamond forever. A diamond in my heart, which will never fade, remain in spirit and my soul, May God gives us a diamond in our soul

The diamonds in the sky which sparkle at night, brings to our eyes light from the distant past! Light travelling at the speed of 186,000 miles per second takes millions of years to reach our eyes! Those same diamonds were seen - by our parents and grandparents in our world of being! They unify our present with our past! Thanks for sharing this lovely poem! 10! -Raj
