So I just read this again, Daniel, and this time thought of Dickinson’s Some keep the sabbath and of the desert fathers. The real church, I think, the dynamic ecclesia or assembly, is composed of devotees who first have had that solitary life-changing experience then walk with those in the same pilgrim way, following the same One. -Glen
