A Destined Rendezvous Poem by Dibakar Purkayastha

A Destined Rendezvous

Dear N

I saw you in a mobile train
While Slipped through vestibule
into your cupe,
Your door was ajar and I peeked.
I saw face from behind twitched curtain
and your beautiful eyes covered
with an ugly spectacle.
I whispered into your ear 'please don't
cover your beautiful eyes.Shortly
I will get down in a distant station and
wait for you in longest platform.
You complete your journey and
alight here for our destined rendezvous.'

Yours D
