This is such a poignant poem Jesus, touched my heart significantly. Yes, I too have lost my parents, and many other relatives whom I was close to. It is difficult to go on when they are a memory of yesterday, that you want to relive right now, again. Memories are always bittersweet when we no longer have the ones we love here on earth. Their images in our minds of good and happier times fill our hearts with joy, as tears spill from our eyes, because we can no longer live them on earth. Sorrow filling our hearts and minds with every moment we have lost in time. So touchingly sad, Jesus, yet a beautiful poem at the same time. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
A beautiful poem! Very true...warmth of a family matters most.
Lovely and melodious, your poem fondly speaks of a glorious time of youth, the warmth and longing of family. One always cherishes those times and our memory keeps them safe. Keep up sharing your poems.

This poem says it all, the sacrifice you did just to earn a living and to support your family. The lonely life you had experience has been written in this beautiful poem. You made me cry coz once I was also far from my family, but had to stay in order to give them better future. Good job James and congratulations for the talent you have, more power to you!
