Whenever I feel very low,
Tired and rushing against the crowd
In this big jungle of concrete, steel
And glass called: New York City,

there are times when we all would like to rise above all this turmoil. Just a peaceful place and look down upon it.

This poem is so deep. It's exactly how I feel down inside where no one can see. I am almost in tears. I do love the way you word all of the feelings you have. Only certain people understand. As for me - I found it to give me peace. Michele Kostelnik Parrillo How I long for peace...

The place we crave, to create our muse, often we search for just one, where no one can break the silence as you think of what to write...the space...the height..is where ever we chose.

Romeo I see what you mean. I love the sense of travel both mentally and physically. Some excellent lines I enjoyed: All riding a freight train of contemplation… Blended with an un-reconciled pain… Superb write,10 out of 10

I would really like to discover those secrets..distance, height and space. Once in a while we still feel the need to be alone... to think, to observe, and realize what life really is.. another great composition sir Romeo..(salute)

Wonderfully written poem Romeo! I too have wondered about going where few has gone before. Out of sight, and a space where I'd be alone! I too gave this a 10'. Well deserved I might add.

Lovely. It makes us wonder what it would be like to break the everyday routine, and how funny it would look if observed from above. If only we would all slow down and take some time to think... It's a very beautiful poem. I loved it.

Ups and downs are very natural. Let us keep the spirit always up and climb the Empire state building and come out of our depression. However life may be but let us face it challengingly with faith and deep love for life. Friend, your poem is great as always. Marks 10+

Romeo-you have captured the way I feel and many anonymous ones also. I can relate to this. Peace is all I want here on this globe of mud. When (my choice) Jesus comes -things will be made new. The capacity to respond emotionally is sensitive. I thank God for life but my state of mind is loneliness. This escape sounds wonderful. Great write! Michele Kostelnik Parrillo Pray-for all of us on this earth for time is growing near - to have a great change occur. Depth, I love the depth of this poem.
